In 2016 Katrina was recruited by production designer and long-time mentor Mark Friedberg to help solve the narrative riddle of a sequence in a film he was designing.
Working together with Mark, director Todd Haynes, and a small army of model makers, character designers, scenics, and a dedicated miniature unit shooting crew, they made what would become a beautiful little experimental vignette tucked inside Haynes’s larger film - a loving ode to storytelling, in-camera effects, and hand-made craftsmanship.

She also conceived of, shot, and animated the Natural History Museum Wolf Diorama sequences that would become the opening of the film.
